Please be aware that not all symbols are included in all font sets. There are a couple variables that determine whether or not you see the appropriate symbol.
1. The font must be installed on your computer.
2. The symbol must be contained in that particular font set.
I used times new roman and tahoma here, so I think I got about all of them.
